We love dog tales that end happily and there are none more heartwarming than those that tell of a long awaited reunion between pooch and owner. One such story is about a little Bichon Frise named Princess, who after only nine months of living with April Allen in Pomona California, dug her way out of the yard. She was playing with a friend’s dog and the family was inside when both escaped. Though April made flyers and searched for Princess, she never found her. Sadly, April thought that was it.
Reunion Stories
Six years passed and this month, April got a phone call. The pound found Princess and due to her microchip, they were able to track April down. According to her owner, she looks the same but is slightly plumper.

Princess and April’s story is not the only miraculous one that occurred this month. Ruth Torres was reunited with her dog after seeing him on The TODAY Show’s adoptable dogs segment. Ruth’s brother had taken her dog Dusty about three weeks ago though she was unsure of the whole story.(dog walking services nyc)
Apparently, Dusty had been left in a dog run, presumably by Ruth’s brother, before being picked up by the pound. When Dusty, called “Mooki” on The TODAY Show, was brought in front of the camera, Ruth immediately realized it was Dusty and called to her mom. The two rushed to Animal Care and Control in Harlem and received a very warm welcome from Dusty.
Here’s the video of this story featuring cute and lucky, little Dusty.
What great stories! We’re happy for all people and pups involved.
