Happy Friday, pooch lovers! It’s that time of the year again, when we put on ridiculous costumes and have as much fun as we can. Oh yeah, and there’s candy too! If you’re a sucker for Halloween and want to share this October holiday with your pooch, here are the best NYC doggy-friendly Halloween events to attend this weekend. Catch you there!

Haunted Hound Halloween Party
Dress your pooch in the most awesome Halloween costume and head to sPAW City Indoor Social Dog Park in Ballston Spa tonight from 6:30 pm onwards. Enjoy dog games, treats, raffles, food and drinks and most importantly, the costume party! This is the annual Haunted Hound Halloween Party for all pooched signed up for sPAW City. The 24th Annual Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade
The most exciting event of the weekend has to be the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. Attending this event is always a treat, whether you’re participating or just enjoying the cute costumes and festive dogs. The event starts at noon on Saturday at Tompkins Square Dog Run and features thousands of prized, a Runway competition and of course, the famous Costume Dog Parade. There will also be local rescue adoptions and admission is free, with a donation to doggy charities given at the door. News networks call this the “biggest costume dog parade in the world”, so don’t miss out on our favorite event of the year!(dog walker nyc).

HOWL-o-ween Pet Adopt-athon
On Sunday, Sean Casey Animal Rescue is hosting a HOWL-o-ween Pet Adopt-athon in Brooklyn. The event starts at noon until 5:00 pm and will feature fun for kids, pets and anyone who wants to support this great charity. There’ll be raffles, prizes, a pet costume contest, live music, a puppy kissing booth and much, much more. All the pets up for adoption will be celebrating Halloween so come down and join in the fun! Brooklyn Heights Howl-o-ween Muttsquerade Parade & Photo Contest
Another great event to check out in Brooklyn on Sunday is the Brookly Heights Howl-o-ween Muttsquerade Parade. Head to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to get involved! You can pre-purchase your tickets online for $25. All tickets get a free entry into the raffle of their choice. 100% of proceeds go to local animal organizations including Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition and The Friends of Hillside Dog Park.
