Riding In Cars With Blissful Dogs

May 3, 2012

Though we New Yorkers don’t often have cars, we’re still aware of the dogs-in-cars phenomenon. For some reason, when a dog gets inside a vehicle they absolutely must hang their head out the window as it’s driving to soak up the wind, the sun and the sights. Keith Hopkin, noticed this after driving with his girlfriend’s German shepherd, Mia, and became inspired to create mesmerizing videos of dogs whole-heartedly enjoying a ride.(dog walking services nyc)

Blissful Dogs

Keith said about Mia, “She looked so blissful and at peace. This inspired me to shoot more dogs in different locations. The landscapes seem to tell a story too.”
With that thought, his art took shape. His first video entitled “Dogs in Cars” features tongue-wagging pooches riding along the roads of Long Island, Connecticut and New York State. The second is a follow-up called “Dogs in Cars: California.” Both are set to great driving tunes and leave you feeling like the dogs look: happy and peaceful.
To get the amazing slow-motion shots you’ll see in the videos, Keith mounted a camera to the outside of his Volkswagen and started filming. He doesn’t actually have his own pup, but he managed by borrowing from his friends and neighbors for the featured doggies.
Without further ado, put your head phones on, turn up the volume and enjoy the videos:
