Great Danes Train To Be Service Pups on Camera

Pups on Camera

We’ve seen a Corgi Cam, Shiba Inu Cams and now, the biggest “cam” of all is here. Big, because this time we can watch giant Great Danes become service dogs, all from the comfort of our own homes.

Pups on Camera

These puppies are with Service Dog Project, the same organization that broadcasted the fluffy little golden retrievers who would train to help veterans with PTSD. The Great Danes, however, will be trained to assist veterans who are “mobility-impaired.” These men and women may have multiple sclerosis, Friedreich’s ataxia or other issues that impair their ability to get around. The veterans in need will require a dog that can support their weight and help them balance. Naturally, the size of a Great Dane makes them ideal for this type of job.(dog walking services nyc)

Service Dog Project has partnered with explore.org to make the Great Dane Cam available to us. For the next eight to 10 months you’ll be able to watch the pups play, train and, of course, sleep. You can see them on the “puppy hill” and in the “indoor puppy room.” There’s also a moving camera that will capture them as they play.

If the cuteness factor isn’t enough for you, explore.org has partnered with the social community Dog Bless You and for every 1,000 likes they receive on Facebook and follows they get on Pinterest and tumblr, Dog Bless You will donate a service dog to a veteran.

Amazing! Enjoy watching.
