We’ve all heard the horrendous stories of Michael Vick’s dogs but also how many were rescued, rehabilitated and are now wonderful home companions. BADRAP, an organization dedicated to changing how the world views pit bulls and rescuing the breed, helped in this journey. They also created a reunion for seven of these amazing pups, which was caught on video.

These seven pit bulls came to BADRAP five years ago from Michael Vick’s Kennels, and were rehabilitated by this amazing organization that was one of only two willing to give these pit bulls a second chance. BADRAP’s director, Donna Reynolds, told Life With Dogs, “So much focus has centered on their former abuser when really, the most stunning performance in this saga continues to be the dogs who survived unimaginable hardships. Despite the early neglect and abuse, most of the dogs who came to California have gone on to earn impressive accolades, and all have proven themselves to be cherished family companions.”(dog walking services nyc)

The seven dogs that were reunited for the photo op are all certified as Canine Good Citizens while three of them are therapy dogs that go to hospitals and help with children’s literacy programs.

Watch the video of their portrait being taken for laughs! It’s so amazing what these dogs have been through and how they have persevered.
