The annual National Dog Show took place last week! Did you watch it? Purina sponsored this event where 1,500 purebreds strutted their stuff for a national audience. A little Wire Fox Terrier took home the prize for the second year in a row!

Sky the Wire

This Best in Show champion is four-year-old Sky, who was the first dog to win the title twice in a row since the 1970s. She beat out over 160 breeds and group winners that were tough competition!

For the big win, Sky competed against a Affenpinscher (toy group), an American Foxhound (hound group), a Great Dane (working group), a Tibetan Spaniel (non-sport group), a Bearded Collie (herding group) and a Field Spaniel (sporting group).(dog walking services nyc)

Global Animal reports that her handler, Gabriel Rangel, said, “Sky is a very beautiful Wire Fox Terrier…She is a natural show dog with a short, well-balanced body. She has a beautiful head and her face is unbelievable.”

Nice work Sky!

If you watched, who were you pulling for?
