NYC Food Trucks are Going to the Dogs

September 11, 2014

We’re all familiar with the NYC food truck revolution, but now your dogs can get a taste of the gourmet life on wheels too! Food trucks specializing in doggy treats, meals and even ice cream are slowly popping up all over the country, and we’ve got the lowdown.

NYC Food Truck For Dogs

It all started a few years ago, when television chef Rachael Ray launched her high-end line of Nutrish dog food. In a successful attempt to bring her new range of dog food and treats to the people, she jumped on the food truck bandwagon and opened a “Pup-Up Food Truck for Dogs”. The truck was especially popular in Manhattan and although it’s no longer rolling the streets of NYC, a few other brands are following in its paw prints. Here are some great Doggy Food Trucks to catch up with in New York City:

Frosty Pooch
Summer may be coming to an end, but there’s still time to treat your pooch to an all-natural, organic and lactose free ice cream before the cold sets in. Frosty Pooch in based in Hoboken, New Jersey but regularly makes trips to NYC dog parks and events. But let’s get real – watching your pup enjoy a frozen treat would be worth a drive up to Hoboken any day!

Milo’s Kitchen Treat Truck
You’re probably already familiar with Milo’s Kitchen dog food, but did you know they have a treat truck that regularly visits New York? Me neither! The ultra-cool track offers meaty treats, snacks and even a chance to snap a doggy selfie in their pet-friendly photo booth (nyc dog walking). Did I mention that they also have a lounge area where your pets can get a drink of water, play with toys and socialize with other awesome dogs like them? Yup, it’s a real thing and it’s amazing!
Home-style treats on offer include Grilled Burger Bites and Chicken Meatballs. Milo’s Kitchen claims their treats are so good, even owners are tempted to sneak a bite!
